PUBLIC NOTICE
MEETINGS OF THE SMHEC BOARD OF GOVERNORS

Pursuant to the Open Meeting Act, Md. State Govt. Code Ann., §10-508(a) and (c), the Board of Governors of the Southern Maryland Higher Education Center, an agency of the State of Maryland, hereby gives notice that the next public meeting of the Board of Governors will take place on Thursday, January 22, 2009, at 5:00 P.M. at the Southern Maryland Higher Education Center, located at 44219 Airport Road, California, MD 20619, 301-737-2500.  Part of the meeting may be conducted in closed session.

Further, the Board of Governors hereby gives notice that notice of its public meetings will from this date forward be posted on its website at www.smhec.org.  Any questions about the Southern Maryland Higher Education Center or its public meetings may be addressed to Dr. Mel D, Powell, Executive Director of the Center, at the above telephone number and address.
